REFUND POLICY

Please ensure you have looked at the product description before placing your order.

Please do not return items without notifying us via email. They may not be eligible for a refund.

Please note we do not accept returns on sale, pre-order or discounted/sale items.

Contact us with your order number within 4 days of receipt if you wish to return an item. We then accept returns within 14 days following receipt of your order. Next, you will receive an email explaining the returns process (we do not send out return labels). We will not accept returns outside of these time frames. We reserve the right to refuse to refund items that are not returned within 14 days of receipt in accordance with our refund policy.

Once your return is received and inspected/approved, we will process a refund within 7–10 days. It will automatically be applied to your original method of payment.

Please wait until after 7–10 days before enquiring/contacting us to check whether your return has been processed.

We will send you a confirmation email indicating your refund has been processed. The time it takes for you to receive your funds depends on your payment provider. PayPal refunds will be made approximately within 3 working days. Please allow up to 7–10 working days for card payment refunds.

Depending on how busy we are, it may take up to 14 days to process your return from the day it is received back. During Ramadan it may take up to 21 days.

Do I need to pay for return shipping?

Please note all shipping costs are incurred by the buyer. Alara Modesty does not provide a shipping label and we will not reimburse the cost of return. The item is your responsibility until it is delivered to us; therefore we recommend returned items be sent using a signed and tracked delivery service.

We will not accept responsibility for items lost in transit.

Any item(s) returned with damage caused by the buyer shall be returned to the buyer.

Any defects which include marks, stains, damage or distinct smells suggesting the item has been worn will mean that a return is not accepted.Returned items must be unworn, untampered with and sent back inside the original packaging with tags/labels included (if applicable). Any items returned to us not in their original condition, without original packaging/labels (if applicable), dirty/stained, tampered with, or showing signs of wear/odour/perfume will NOT be eligible for a full item value refund.

Once the refund is approved, you will only be refunded for the product price. Please note that we are unable to refund any shipping fees. Actual product colour may vary slightly due to individual monitor settings and picture quality enhancement.

Please be advised that in the interests of hygiene we cannot accept returns or exchanges of hijabs.

Undelivered Items / Returned Parcels

If parcels are sent back to us, shipping/postage fees would need to be repaid in order to send out

the parcel for the second time. Alternatively, Alara Modesty will give an item value refund once the parcel is back in our possession.

Exchange: We do not exchange items/sale items.

You may place another order for the item you want and return the original item (unworn,untampered, original packaging with tags/labels included) for a refund. This way you will not have to worry about stock availability nor include a pre-paid parcel bag. The refund will be issued once the original item is received and inspected (item value only).

Faulty/damaged items

At Alara Modesty we carry out quality checks regularly to minimise any faulty/damaged items.

However, if you do receive damaged goods please notify us by sending an email to contact@alaramodesty.com immediately, with pictures of the relevant damage and your order number.

Any items damaged in transit will need to be resolved with Royal Mail or the respective courier provider.

On rare occasions, when an item has freshly manufactured lace or embroidery completed on it, there may be an odour. This is not a fault. You simply need to air the item for a while.

Similarly, if there are a few loose threads that can be easily removed or slight variations in embroidery designs/placement as a result of batch restock, this cannot be considered a fault.

Occasionally, labels may be removed if the incorrect label is on the item. This is not a fault.

Can I cancel/return a pre-order (place an order for an item before it is available for purchase)?

There is a grace period of 24 hours where the customer can cancel their pre-order. After 24 hours have passed it is no longer possible to cancel a pre-order.

You will need the following information to register your return:

Order Number (you can find this in your order confirmation email)Product code (product code located on the product page) Email address

When returning items, we recommend using a tracked service with delivery confirmation. In the event that we do not receive your returned item, we will ask you to provide Proof of Postage. We reserve the right to refuse a refund if you are unable to provide this Proof of Postage. Alara Modesty will not accept responsibility for items lost in transit.

We reserve the right to refuse refunds if the returns procedures have not been followed.

Please note, shipping costs will not be reimbursed by Alara Modesty. If we have to return the item back to you due to the return policy not being followed, a shipping fee of £3.95 will need to be paid.

We will keep the item on hold until the fee is paid. All shipping charges are non-refundable and if your shipping fee was waived, the refund will exclude the shipping fee.

Cancellations

Cancellations can be made within 24 hours of placing an order provided that your order has not already been prepared, packed or dispatched within this time. You need to notify us of a cancellation via email to contact@alaramodesty.com. Any later, or if the item/s have been prepared for dispatch, a cancellation will not be accepted.

Late or missing refunds (if applicable)

If you have not received your refund, please contact your bank or payment provider to find out how long it takes them to process a refund. If the number of working days has passed and you still have not received your refund, please contact us at contact@alaramodesty.com with your order number. If you have any further questions, feel free to contact us via our contact us page or at contact@alaramodesty.com

I AM AN INTERNATIONAL CUSTOMER, HOW DO I RETURN AN ITEM?

Please email us at contact@alaramodesty.com with your order number and reason for return. You will then receive a reply within 48 hours with further details on how to return the item. If you are returning item(s) to us from outside of the EU, you must complete a customs declaration clearly stating that the package contains 'RETURNED GOODS'. If your parcel is stopped at UK Customs and a charge levied, we will refuse payment and the package will be returned to the sender. Under no circumstances can Alara Modesty pay customs duty in order to receive back our items.

HOW WILL I RECEIVE MY REFUND?

Once the return has been approved, you will receive your refund via the same method used to make your purchase. What are the shipping costs: These prices are for the delivery of 1 abaya. Shipping price may change when more items are added and the price will update at checkout.

Working days do not include Saturday & Sunday.

Order must be received by 11am to ensure same day dispatch.

Once the item has been shipped it becomes the responsibility of the courier and Alara Modesty cannot be held accountable for any delays.

Custom Fees / Import Charges

Alara Modesty will not be held responsible for any customs charges your home country may impose. Please include a valid and correct phone number in case customs need to contact you.

Please note: any taxes/fees/charges incurred at customs in your country will not be paid by Alara Modesty. It is the customer's duty to pay these and when items are returned because taxes are not paid, we will only refund the item value, not any delivery fees.
